National Chinese Orchestra is an affiliate of the National Center for the Traditional Arts, which is a wing of the Ministry of Culture. Composed of a number of talented musicians, National Chinese Orchestra is aspired to explore Chinese music by embracing both the traditional and the contemporary. As its long-term goal, the troupe hopes to raise traditional Chinese music to a higher level and become a valuable addition to the world music scene.
